So I haven't been on much lately. What time I haven't been spending at school or working (Summer vacation is OVER! D: ) I've been spending on Searching for the Sun cos that fic is my pride and joy. Exclusive secret for all you LJ readers! (Well, and my two muses/editors/helpers) Perceptor is coming in the fic later! He'll be somewhat a cross between his G1 and Animated personalities. I designed him last night. It took hours. I hate drawing movieverse. And I still have to ink it... Oy vey...

Anyway.

Today on the train ride home I invented a fictional island with its own society, alphabet, and language. Simply cos I could.

The island is called Matkare, with the language called Matkareti. Its most sacred animal and its primary god is a cat. Its current queen is named Rasi, which means peace. My name translates to Kari, which means water. The Matkareti society is a blend of the cultures of Ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt, Aztec, Taiti, Polish(HAHA), and various native American cultures. Common words (typed in our English alphabet cos I obviously can't type an alphabet I just made up) are:

Good night: Shep Lamis
Good bye: Shep Kopo (Or, informally, just Kopo)

Their creation myth (which I haven't fully translated to Matkareti yet):
In the first morning there was nothing. The sun saw this nothing. The moon saw this nothing. So the sun and the moon mated and begot the sky, which begot the first cat, called Ketim. Ketim ate his own fur off, and then vomited it up as earth. Ketim then made all things out of the stars and the earth and the water, and called himself the first king.
The first girl was called/named Chinana. Chinana was the most pretty. Ketim fell in love with her, and so did the evil horned serpent Stavuto. Chinana loved Ketim, not Stavuto, and the two had sex. Stavuto was angry when he found this out, and killed Chinana. Panicking, Ketim tore the two babies from Chinana's stomach. In grief over Chinana's death, Ketim then killed himself. Now he is king in the land of the dead.
One of the babies was a human girl, the first queen. The other baby was the first kitten. All princes and princesses are from the first queen. (Chin Kadesh.) They are sacred. All cats are from the first kitten. (Chin Nash Ket'm) They too are sacred.
That is the story of how Matkare came to be.

OKAY GAISE. I haven't been able to get on a lot lately, and for that I'm sorry. It looks like it's gonna be that way for awhile, so deal with it. There are plenty of better artists to tide you over anyway. But that's not what I'm here writing about.

I'm here to tell you all about a comedy webcomic idea I had (that developed from something totally different, haha...) called "Autobot University." The premise is that various college-age girls (it's only girls so far, but if any guys wanna lend me themselves I'm cool.) having to deal with, on a daily basis, the G1 Transformers (Autobots AND Decepticons), who spend most of the comic toy-sized. Cos of energy issues or something. (Okay, I still need to work that detail out...)

Here's where it gets weird. Instead of making up characters, I'm using real people in it! That's right, people like YOU! You don't have to be in college (though if you aren't, I'm changing your age. Deal with it.), but you DO have to comment with which TF you want to live with and a basic profile of yourself. NOT your OC. (I'm not dealing with mermaids and vampires and katana swords and colour-changing eyes or any of that shit. Sorry.) You. Unless your OC is based on you and not a Mary Sue.

The TFs who are taken so far:

Remember the Jem episode "The Bands Break Up"? (Of course you don't. No one seems to like "Jem". D: )

These little Barbie fairies remind me of Kimber and Stormer! The Kimber one even has pink strands, like a Kimber doll does. (They're hard to see, but yes, she does have pink strands.) And the Stormer one has curly blue hair, lighter blue eyes, a flower in her hair, and even that green eyeshadow.

...wow. Just wow.

Incoming toys: Swiper (AUGH HE'S TAKING SO LONG), Alternators Side Swipe (Finally completing my Sideswipe collection, hahaha), Pizzazz, Roxy, Clash, Aja, and two outfits for Swiper. (He's a BJD - an AoD Wang Zi to be exact. His clothes have been shipped out. He hasn't. Oh boy.)

Secondly, I has writer's block for the end of the 4th chap of "SftS". But. I don't have art block! (For once.) Which means Revenge of the Fallen. Which I've already seen twice and plan to see at least three more times. Because I really am that much of a nerd. It also means I suck at updating this LJ, cos summer means no school which means more socialising which means, since I am an adult and can drive and live in a city, I'm like never home.

But, hey, I'm still on dA whenever I can be.

I'm sorry for all those who are looking forward to chapters of "Someday Out of the Blue", "Poetry in Motion", "Twenty", or whatever other works I have that I have completely forgotten about. I've been focusing all my writing efforts on my new Bayverse fic (with G1 and IDW influences) "Searching for the Sun". I've posted the three chapters of it that I've written so far both to my fanfiction.net account (Ksiezniczka) and to my dA (TenorSaxLolita). This story is more difficult to write than a lot of my others, but it really does mean a lot to me. If you can find it in you to do so, please check it out. Please? Pleeeeease?

My birthday is coming up, on the 2 of July. (Next Thursday.) I really would like a Sideswipe LJ icon, since I am such a huge fangirl of him, both in G1 and in movieverse versions... hint hint...

I haven't been updating my LJ lately, and for that I'm sooooo sorry everyone! But, as those of you who are 18 or older should very well know, college takes a hell of a lot out of you, especially when you are taking more units than you are supposed to. (Dumb move on my part, really.) BUT I'm on summer vacation now, and leaving for a few days for Botcon! I finished my costume yesterday (It's G1 Spike - yay for cavorting about in a hard hat and rubber boots!) and it looks PERFECT! Photos will be up on the dA account copperarabian cos she is my best friend like that. I'm currently working on the gift I'm gonna give to Peter Cullen - a model of one of his other famous roles (outside of TF), KARR from "Knight Rider". (I know, I'm a ginormous geek, huh?)

I'm very excited.

Also, if I started including some of my OCs in my fan works, do you think that would be okay? Not like Mary Sues or anything, goddess no! But, like, just kinda easing them into there on the side. Would that be like a major turn-off? I've seen it done well before, and this of course doesn't mean I would be abandoning works like "Vista" or "Someday Out of the Blue". I just wanna try working with my own characters a bit as well, you know? I'm not asking you to like them or even read anything involving them - just asking maybe for an opinion on whether or not I should.

I has a Synergy and a Jem/Jerrica doll now, and I'm getting Pizzazz for my birthday. Score!

First off, I would like to apologise for being so inactive lately, here, on dA, and in the fanfiction world. I've just been rather occupied lately. Perhaps occupied isn't the best word, but it is the nicest sounding. I'll get around to replying to comments and such soon, I promise, but as for writing and drawing, I make no guarantees. I'm just so burned out, I can't bring myself to really do anything!

Secondly, I'd like to know, out of curiosity alone, has there ever been a line or passage in a fic, fanfic or otherwise, that you had to stop and read over and over again because you related so damn much? Or even in a movie! (Recently when watching "Beauty and the Beast" I burst into tears at the lines "Both a little scared/Neither one prepared". God, I'm such a sap!) Well, it's happened to me many times, and now I am sharing one, from the Jem fic "Picture Books" (Of my favourite pairing, Roxy/Stormer. "I felt awkward as hell and the idea of touching her was about as appealing as laying my hand on a hot burner, but I did it anyway. I'm not good at this stuff. Felt her curl around and fold into me, wrap her arms around my neck and cling to me for dear life. Felt her breath heavy in her chest, felt each sob like it was coming out of me. ...I don't have time to go over EVERY DETAIL of "Transwarped", because I have to clean, do HW, and study for midterms. (I don't even get to speak with Holly this weekend, which tells you how little time I have.) I already posted to the bunny farm what I thought of Gary Perceptor's voice. ALSO, fellow Blurr fans, HE DIDN'T TURN GREY. If you saw it, you know what I'm getting at. If not... well, that's why I was purposely being kinda sorta vague.

Anyway, I'm just happy TF:Ani is back. Especially since Magnus is still reminding me of a Commie dictator. And that Judd Nelson is back as Rodimus! And Rodi's acting more like his Hot Rod self, AS IT SHOULD BE! WITH JUDD FUCKING NELSON AND EVERYTHING! *squeebles*

I finally caved and bought the "Rise of Safeguard" set, mostly for the comic that comes with it. (And shows Perceptor.) I tell ya, it does nothing to my theory of Stalinist Autobots. Actually, it helps it along quite a bit. (Though Perceptor is still sweet. Now he's just a sweet little obedient Commie.)

Also bought "All Hail Megatron" Volume 6. Why 6? Because I just grabbed the newest one. I've been reluctant to check it out since IDW's main storyline pisses me off to no end. But I'm glad I did cos I love it. It's the first time canonly that I've seen Skywarp and TC jumping to each other's (and Starscream's, even!) defense, as they do in fanon. Also the first time I've seen Prowl and Jazz interact in a way that encourages all you PJ shippers. But my favourite part, without a doubt was this scene:

*A Decepticon is shot. By Perceptor. With a BFG.*
Tracks: "That was scary. Perceptor - Perceptor is scary. When did Perceptor become scary?"
Cliffjumper: "That was so cool."

And in addition to the Jet twin toys that came with the Rise of Safeguard set (They're cute; I'll give 'em that.), I also bought Universe Inferno. Now to get Henkei Red Alert... (Is he out?)

You know, despite the fact that I'm not a romantic person, a fat portion of my stories deal with romance and fluff.

Odder yet, when I'm more-or-less with someone (like now), writing romance is ever harder.

Can you get writer's block from being too happy as well as being depressed? Cos I know depression can cause writer's block. Can infatuation?

Well, as I'm (FINALLY) working on another chapter of "Poetry in Motion" for some strange reason (Really, I'm on a Perce/BA kick and I'm the only one to do anything for them, just like everything else I like - GET WITH THE PROGRAM PEOPLE), I should probably point out that BlackArachnia's prejudice against the Autobots is at least partially justified. I've said it before and I've said it again, the Autobots of Transformers:Animated look more and more like a totalitarian Communist (or rather Stalinist) dictatorship every time I look at them, ESPECIALLY in episodes showing the Elite Guard.

It doesn't hurt that the Autobots aren't soldiers, but common workers (A very Soviet aspect, you know) and that while they say they won the war and there isn't still one going on, the Decepticons disagree, claiming that they're repressed by Autobot ideals. (Plus their colour is red.) Sound familiar? It could just be my upbringing talking (If I had a dollar for everytime Russia has given Poland shit over the millennia), but if that isn't enough to make you question it, let me elaborate. If you've been reading this LJ for awhile, you've already heard this schtick from me, so by all means go ahead and ignore me. For those who haven't, consider the following:

We hear Megatron give his spiel about being a freedom fighter, wishing to unite the Decepticons and lead them back home. Now let's think about this. He welcomes anyone into the fold with open arms, including those who would be outcasts among the Autobots (particularly the tragically mutated Blackarachnia - notice Optimus never denied her claims that the Autobots would dissect her), and he even shares his personal supply of oil with the Constructicons. On the Autobot side, the highest ranking individual is the closed-minded and possibly senile Ultra Magnus; also in a very high position is the Jerkass Sentinel Prime. With these sorts of people guiding the Autobots, suddenly Megatron's spiel doesn't sound quite so hollow. NOT TO MENTION Perceptor and Wheeljack experimenting with injured 'bots to create Jetfire and Jetstorm, with Magnus's full blessing nonetheless!

Also, note the Moral Dissonance in the way individual Autobots treat some of their various enemies: Lockdown had his various stolen "upgrades" ripped out by Ratchet, the Transformer equivalent of surgery without anesthetic; Nanosec was run into old age by Bumblebee; The Dinobots were to be melted alive; and Swindle was left conscious but forever paralyzed, and was taken by Fanzone to be stripped for parts — while the Autobots watched and did nothing. And all of this without any of the other Autobots batting an eye. Prime and his crew may be trying to be heroic and noble, but let's face it, these are not inherently nice people.

Still not convinced with how corrupt the Autobots are? (HOW? I'd love to hear everyone's opinions!) Well, let's go deeper, actually comparing the Autobot system to the Communist one. Communism is an alternative to all that could go wrong with the greedier systems of Capatalism or Imperialism, or at least it was supposed to be like that. If you actually research Marxist forms of Communism, it doesn't sound that bad at all, until you get to Stalin. (Which is why I call the Autobots not only Communist, but Stalinist as well.) The term "Stalinism" implies an inherently oppressive system of extensive government spying, extrajudicial punishment, and political "purging", or elimination of political opponents either by direct killing or through exile, and it involves a state using extensive use of propaganda to establish a personality cult around an absolute dictator to maintain control over the nation's people and to maintain political control for the Communist Party. "But wait, how does that relate back to the Autobots?" IT TOTALLY DOES:

Government spying? The Animated version of Blurr is dispatched to Earth not only to look out for Decepticons, but also, I think, to spy on the Autobots known to be there. Why else would he avoid alerting them to his presence? I can understand wanting to avoid letting loud-mouthed Bumblebee find out, but surely Ratchet and Prowl and DEFINITELY Optimus Prime should have known if it were just a Decepticon spy mission. Blurr is very high ranking himself here, so IMHO he was sent out also to spy on Optimus and crew. It does make sense, as the main cast not only lost the Allspark, but also kinda, y'know, BROKE the damned thing.

Extrajudicial punishment? Oh, definitely. For those unfamiliar with the word "extrajudicial", this form of punishment is punishment by the state or some other official authority without permission of a court or legal authority. As in what happened to Lockdown, Nanosec, Swindle, et cetera, as I mentioned earlier. (Not to mention how cruel many of these punishments were.)

Elimination of opponents through exile is a definite one as well. Two words: Poor Wasp.

AND Propaganda. Oh, god, the propaganda. It is very clear the Autobots deny the existence of Decepticons publicly, despite ostensibly sending Blurr to spy on them and, of course, it being MEGATRON's fault that the main cast crashed on Earth anyway! Not only that, but the Autobots do their best to maintain damn good public relations and PR, even with us lowly humans. Oh, and did I mention WHY the Elite Guard denies the existance of Decepticons? I quote: it might "embolden the enemy". I am not making this shit up.

Now I'm not saying this is bad. I actually think it makes the series much more interesting and mature on a whole to watch it with this whole other level in mind. But I'm just saying that the Autobots seem awfully, erm, Soviet-like, down to the corruption and double standards. (Also known as "We're all equal. Except Stalin/Magnus is more equal than anyone else." Thank you, paraphrase of Animal Farm!)

At any rate, this is just how I view the subject. I'm looking forward to how the new season (14 MARCH!) helps to support or deny my claims.
