NEW FRIENDS?! ORLY?!

So this is another HELLO NEW FRIENDS FROM RECENT FRIENDING MEMES post. But I realised something. I've had this LJ so long that'd you'd have to be here forEVER to find my intro post.
So this is just a new one. THIS IS ME, YOUR EVER-CRAZY, EVER-LOVING KSIEZNICZKA. (It's my deviantArt ID pic cos I'm lazy and it's convenient):

ABOUT ME
I was born in Piaseczno, Poland (a bit south of the capital Warszawa) around the time of the collapse of the USSR. My parents were only visiting when I popped out early, and decided to stay for a couple years while all the government problems in the Eastern Bloc were ironed out. Because of this, I learned Polish and English somewhat simultaneously, and grew up with two first names. No, Ksiezniczka is not one of them, that's just a nickname. (Means princess.) My "English name" (which I hate), which I use in America for, like, school and stuff, is Brooke. My "Polish name", which is used with family, is Anetka. You can call me any of those things.
In addition to Piaseczno in Poland, I have also lived in 3 different states of America - Pennsylvania (Edinboro), Ohio (Cleveland), and California. (Los Angeles, Santa Clara, and San Jose where I live now.) - as well as Hereford in England. I'm currently going to school in California. I'm a physical anthropology major at San Jose State. Next year I am doing a semester abroad in Wrocław, Poland.
I'm spaztic and socially awkward, but I always will try to be nice to everyone. I'm honest to the point of being blunt at times, and I'm kinda a ditz. I get shy IRL but once I know you I will not let you go. My negative traits are that I'm stubborn and kinda lazy and I procrastinate liek woah.
I'm totally obsessed with Hetalia, Bones (despite all its factual wrongs), Supernatural, and the Princess and the Frog. I also love Transformers, Jem, other Disney movies, Doctor Who, and Adventure Time. I absolutely love history - my favourite eras are Ancient Egypt, the Inca Empire, ALL OF POLISH HISTORY (Especially the Commonwealth era with Lithuania), both World Wars, the Cold War, the French Revolution, and the Victorian era. I do NaNoWriMo every year, and thus in October and November this LJ gets kinda taken over by that.

KEEP CHEWIN' ON DAT BUBBLEGUM. BUBBLE BUBBLE BUBBLEGUM.
I mean, er... what?

That's my PB costume, yougaise. I didn't bother styling the wig for the photo since I took it before I ran out of the house for a doctor appointment. (I changed first, of course.) At Fanime, it'll be styled better. Also I'll have the actual PB crown, Kiwi just hasn't given me it yet so for the photo I used the tiara from my 15th birthday. (Why do I still have that thing? That was 6 years ago.) Also also, I swear the sweater is pink. It looks orange-ish in the photo for some reason, but IRL it is pink.
So pretty much EVERYONE told me Princess Bubblegum would be a better costume. Even my mother. So that is what I am wearing on Friday at Fanime this year. :3
And yes, I know my dress is lower cut than the actual one. I like it better that way.
Also my BJD Stefan will be Finn. XD
Also also how can I get my skin PAAAAIIIIIINNNNNK without becoming broke?
Yours,
Ksiezniczka

Okay, I haven't been on LJ much and for that I dearly apologise, guys. Really the only site I'm on a lot is deviantArt. (And facebook, I guess.)
BUT ANYWAY.
Fanime is coming up in a couple months, and my Bela is coming out from her home in Colorado just to go with me! Yes, this does mean we will be the most epic Poland and Belarus there, on the Saturday. (Because you cannot beat a Poland who is actually from Poland, amirite? Does that make me vain?) Yes, you can come up to me and ask me to speak in Polish. In fact, when I'm in costume is probably the only time I'll indulge such a request; other than that it kinda makes me mad. (Tak, jestem z polska; nie, nie jestem nauczycielka. AKA I AM NOT YOUR FUCKING TEACHER.)
BUT. On the Friday. Idk if I should be Punk!England or Princess Bubblegum! The Bubblegum cosplay has a better wig, but the England one is already done...

That's the top of my Punk!Iggy costume (the bottom is black jeans and combat boots and stuff). The wig isn't done being coloured yet, but that'll be done by May.

And that is the PB costume I would do, since the pink dress is nowhere near being done since I suck at sewing. I have the dress and sweater already, the wig will be at my house by next week and I still have to find my old white flats so I can make the shoes.
Which do you think I should wear on the Friday? PLEASE HELP
Thoughtfully yours,
Ksiezniczka

I ended up getting a tumblr after all but only to follow some friends from school and one of my favourite webcomic artists. In all honesty I'll probably only use it to blog stupid shit I find around the internet. It's niczka.tumblr.com if anyone's still curious...
ANYWAY...
Guess what cosplay I finally convinced my girlfriend to do with me? Go on, guess! Answer below the cut...

EVERY ANIME OPENING EVER MADE:
In all seriousness, you're prolly all wondering where I've been the last few months. Well, in between treatment for the ED (don't ask unless you seriously wanna know) and finals, I just had no time. I'm back now. (And cos I know someone will ask, yes, my Liet and I are still together.)
Also, debating whether I should get a tumblr. I'd still use this too. Does anyone use tumblr? How do you like it?
Yours,
Ksiezniczka

So, flist, Halloween is my favourite holiday even though I am way too old to trick-or-treat. (Though since I'm so short I could probably get away with it anyway if I reaaalllly wanted to.) What are you all doing for it?

Coloured very badly in photoshop in under 5 minutes because I A) have no time and B) just don't care.

Copypasta'd description from my dA:
"Based on a conversation with my girlfriend about something I noticed in England. My Brit!friends and I used to call it "The Starbucks Game" cos we first noticed it while in a Starbucks. (Referenced here by England's barista apron.) Basically, here's the alcoholic version:
1. Find a pub during tourist season. Not just any, but one that you know will get a lot of tourists.
2. Take a shot every time someone from the states insists they're Canadian.
Funny thing is, when you ask a Canadian this, they either say "yes" (cos Canada is in North America I guess) or "Canada" as if they're elaborating. Both are said politely, neither is an outright denial.
Even funnier, most Brits who ask this really don't care that much and are only making small talk. Not like here in America where I live now. If I use my accent, people ask where I'm from. I say "Poland" and I'll get something like "Oh! My cousin so-and-so went to Krakow once!" Um, that's nice? What the hell am I supposed to say to that?"
...someday soon I will have some free time to actually draw something that doesn't suck. ;-;
(And if you're curious, the part of England I lived in was Hereford. And don't give me a sarcastic "Oh! How posh!" either. I may have lived in a nice area but I can sock you like a chav if need be... Also I'm not English anyway.)
Hope SOMEONE out there is amused,

I'm don't know how to start this, so I'm just gonna jump right into this rant.
Here's the thing you guys. I get really uncomfortable when people recommend anime to me. Well, I'm uncomfortable when people recommend any TV show to me out of nowhere, but especially anime. Because with a few exceptions, I really don't like anime.
No, really, I don't. And here's why - For the most part, all the anime people recommend to me as the "BEST THING EVAR" are the same exact show over and over. Okay, that's a bit of an unfair generalisation, but to be honest that's what it feels like to me. It's all so boring and cliched. Fanservice is fun but it isn't a substitute for story. And those who do manage a story don't do it well. Where's all the originality? And then, when I DO find something with a slightly original story, rabid fangirls scare me off.
"But Ksiezniczka, you're a Hetalia fan, aren't you?"
Hold up, I'm not finished, bros...
Long rant was long... But anyway, the point of all this was the reason I dislike most anime is because I find it unoriginal, and that's boring. But anime is not ALL boring. Like with anything else, you have to dig through about 90% of shit to find the 10% of good stuff that keeps you coming back.
Love until later,
Ksiezniczka
